Two very special releases celebrate a year on the U.K. albums chart this frame, which is a big milestone for any title to reach. While the musicians behind those collections are surely excited to have created projects popular enough to chart for 52 weeks, their success pales in comparison to the No. 1 album in the country, which has been living on the ranking for several years.
Here are five titles that make waves on this week’s U.K. albums chart.
No. 1 – The Beatles – Abbey Road
As it turns 50 years old, The Beatles’ Abbey Road doesn’t just rise on the albums chart, it takes over once again. The beloved release, often referred to as one of the best LPs in history, rockets straight to No. 1 on the tally, becoming the latest title from the Fab Four to bounce back to the highest possible spot on the chart after decades away. Amazingly, this isn’t even the first time the group has managed this feat, as they returned to the No. 1 rung two years ago with another former chart-topper celebrating five decades in the spotlight.
No. 24 – DaBaby – Kirk
American rapper DaBaby has enjoyed a rise that can only be described as meteoric, even if that word is overused at this
