A judge gave prosecutors a warrant to search Dr. Leopoldo Luque’s house and clinic in San Isidro, a wealthy community northeast of Buenos Aires, on Sunday, according to Reuters.

A statement from the prosecutors said the move was deemed imperative based on statements from Maradona’s immediate family members, but offered no other explanation for the investigation.

Argentinian media outlets, citing anonymous sources, have reported authorities are looking into the possibility of charges related to “culpable homicide,” or involuntary manslaughter, according to translations by Deutsche Welle

Maradona’s three daughters “are said to have demanded to know what medication their father was on,” according to the BBC.

Luque oversaw Maradona’s surgery to remove a blood clot in his head in November and continued to monitor the soccer star’s health as he was treated for alcohol dependence after.
