A recently released study indicates that fewer than 50% of diverse business suppliers have a certification that communicates their identity. As a diverse business owner, I find this surprising given that 70% of surveyed organizations globally indicated that supplier diversity is a high or medium priority.
The data is clear: The commercial advantages of diversity in the supply chain are significant. They include increased competition in the supply base, greater innovation, reduced costs, enhanced resiliency and access to new and untapped markets.
