I’m writing this article in response to an opinion piece I just read on BitcoinMagazine.com. The author of that piece was arguing that Bitcoin ought to indeed be the saving choice for the Lebanese. I want to counterargue with game theory and show how the opposite is true, precisely because of things unique both to the character of Lebanon and the situation it finds itself in. From a certain light, there is a silver lining to Lebanon’s infrastructure being reduced to nothing, at all levels of society: It makes it a prime candidate for it to be built up. A golden opportunity of sorts, if handled correctly.
