E-commerce giant eBay (EBAY) has continued its journey into digital collectibles by acquiring UK-based NFT token market KnownOrigin, according to a press release on Wednesday. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
KnownOrigin was founded in 2018 and has grown $7.8 million in trading volume since launch, based on figures provided by DappRadar.
“With this acquisition, we will remain the leading site as our community increasingly adds digital collectibles,” said Jamie Iannone, CEO of eBay, in a statement.
